LWCRA
hi I have been awarded lcwra and unsure of how the payments work so I’ll fill you in,
my first fit note was 27/05-26/06, 26/06 - 26/07 and 26/07 - 25/08.
I was awarded lcwra on the 7th of August.
my assessment period runs from the 18 of the month to the 17th and I am paid on the 24th.
any help would be appreciated.
many thanks

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. Any breaks in them impact the waiting period. No money is paid or subsequently owed for the waiting period.
If you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves, no extra money is paid.
If you receive Transitional Protection, this will reduce by the LCWRA amount.
It is the date Fit Notes are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them. Assuming this means no breaks, my estimate of your timeline:
May/June: Partial Assessment Period, not included for waiting period
June/July: AP 1
July/August: AP 2
August/September: AP 3
September/October: Eligible for LCWRA element
24th October: First LCWRA element paid.
No backpay owed.
