PIP - Review still not done

I sent my forms off for my PIP review at the end of November 2024 and all I keep getting is this.....
"We still have your PIP form and will be progressing your review as soon as we can. You may still need an assessment with a health professional. Your PIP will continue to be paid until we review your claim. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change."
It's never taken anywhere near this length of time before so what are they actually doing down there?
What if it takes so long that they tell me I'm going to be treated like a new claimant nectar it's gone past a certain date when the new changes come into play?

Nectar = because.
Sorry but it didn't allow me to edit my post

Hi
They have massive backlogs.
You will be treated as an existing claimant because you have submitted your form before any new rules have begun.

Thank you. That's a relief. Someone a free months back said they might try and push me into the new claimant category due to time l as lapse etc so obviously that was without foundation and was just their suspicion

I'm also afraid they will ask me what I need the money for as I don't spend it on anything specifically for my condition and it's merely to help me survive

PIP won't ask you any financial questions.

Thanks Kimi.
Will they not ask what I do to help myself with my condition though?
