It was Tell A Joke Day day yesterday, but it's never too late to celebrate! We've had a few members sharing jokes in the past couple of months so I know there's definitely some comedians out there on the community.

So go on then, what's your favourite joke? 😁

Clean jokes only please, nothing too rude or raunchy! And let's stay away from the political too please 😉

Why did the scarecrow win an award? Because he was outstanding in his field.

That one's always been a favourite of mine @Bluebell21 😁

What did the grape say when it got trodden on?

Nothing, it just let out a little wine. 😅

I used to go out with a Welsh girl who had 36DDs. It was a ridiculously long name.

Wife texts husband on a cold winter morning: "Windows frozen, won't open."
Husband texts back: "Gently pour some lukewarm water over it and then gently tap edges with hammer."
Wife texts back 10 minutes later: "Computer really messed up now."

I was selling some of my music gear online, but all the only replies I got were “visually impaired”, “loss of hearing”, “autistic”, “uses a wheelchair”, etc…

That’s when I realized… the comments were disabled.

    I hired a new handyman…
…. I gave him a list of jobs to do.
    He did jobs, 1, 3, 5 and 7.
Turns out he’s an odd job man!

    Just found out I'm colorblind.
    Came right out the purple.

I know a lot of bad jokes.. 🙃

I’m petrified about today’s science news. Genetically modifying crabs to have cheetah genes? This could go sideways fast.

My mate is boasting about studying forensics. Big deal. I learned that in primary school. The answer is ten.

    I'll get my coat....

The other day, I came across my wife’s dating profile. I’m so angry about her lies. She is not “fun to be around.”

Cremation. My final hope for a smokin’ hot body

…. I've realised that most jokes I know cross a line because of my life experiences; I laugh at the darkest humour, so much so that writing my speech for my daughter's wedding, it starts of … to those that I offend

I'm the same, I'm dark about stuff as it's a way of coping by depriving the trauma of its power over me

I recently was chatting about a shared traumatic experience, were both getting very rude about ourselves, and the condition involved. A couple of others in the room got uncomfortable…

It's our way of coping. If anyone present also shared the experience, and was uncomfortable, we'd tone it down. However, I found it upsetting that someone with no idea what the trauma is like tried to tell us that we were being offensive about ourselves

It reminds me of when non-minorities virtue signal by attempting to identify racism/homophobia/sexism or whatever only for the relevant minority to come out and say they don't find it offensive in the first place

@66Mustang we think alike in a lot of ways. To laugh at something traumatic is a sign of strength … we own it, not it us.

The look of sheer shock on my wife's face sometimes when I make a joke about a serious violation. "How can you laugh at it ? " Easy, because I've been close to letting it make me step off the planet … it's not having that control again. Uh uh

As for virtual signalling, totally agree with you. to go looking for offence on the behalf of others makes no sense to me, but each to their own, my life is complicated enough without adding to it 😁
