hi. May I please ask what are you having your bladder removed. The reason I ask is because I suffer multiple utis due to a mesh which I had in 2008. I am awaiting bladder instillations.

    Hi #Amazingblazing 628,

It sounds like you have reached a considered decision for your circumstances. I'm not sure how much benefit you have from Botox treatment (outside my nursing experience). However, I do recall you having a long term history of difficulties and problems with a Supra Pubic Catheter and from my nursing experience, I am familiar with the common problems these catheters cause some people. At least with a urostomy (or ileal loop) you will be able to manage the collection devise without the difficulties of being uncomfortable from a blocked or leaking catheter.

Hope it all goes well for you Friday and you get to have your surgery soon. I can imagine how miserable and distressing it is to have your experience. I have had many patients with similar problems and yes, I even had a Supra Pubic Catheter my self all be it very briefly. Take care.

Sorry you've had such a horrible time with your SPC @amazingblazing628, I hope the team can get you seen quickly so you can feel more comfortable.

Good luck with your botox appointment on Friday, hope it goes okay ☺️
