Work Allowance

Does anyone know much about the work allowance?

I get Universal Credit (migrated from ESA support group) and PIP £558 every 4 weeks - both for social anxiety and depression

I have read about work allowance- and was wondering about doing some online surveys? I wouldn't do face to face ones with my social anxiety and also wouldn't be every day, only when I feel I can manager them

Would it be likely to contradict my claim doing them? No pressure like a job. I get anxious over the smallest thing so if it's likely to contradict my claim or they would use it to say I don't have social anxiety or depression, I'd likely just not do them

Hey @erialc80 I don't think online surveys would go against your reasoning for being in the support group at all. As long as you're not earning or working over the allowed hours or amounts, there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks @Albus_Scope - it would be £10 a day if lucky. And no pressure to do them on days I don't feel I can do any

The work allowance is £411 if you get Housing Element, £684 if not.

Having done surveys myself for many years in the past, I think most days you would struggle to earn more than a few quid, if that.

Hey @Kimi87 - my brother uses a site called Prolific and manages to make about £40 a week from them. And another called Cloud Connect - but that's maybe about £10 a week - would that be a problem with UC? Would they be likely to say if I can do surveys i don't have depression/anxiety?

I don't get housing element as still live with parents due to my social anxiety
