Pip review, no assessment

I started my PIP review on the 24th March.
They received my form and evidence on 14th April.
9th July i got an automated text stating they still have my form and will progressing soon.
25th August i received this text:
Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change.
Just wondering as I did not have any telephone assessment is this normal. I did have allot more evidence this time from Hospitals and Dr's too.

You had a paper based assessment, either with the assessment provider or in house at the DWP.
Paper based assessments are done when they feel they have enough information to make a decision with minimal or no further input from the claimant.

Paper based seems more common these days ...me, my son amd brother in law have all had them for our last reviews and others I know ....probably more cost effective

Hi, same events happened to me too. Review started early April, usual text messages advising me of progress, then last week received the review completed text message, currently waiting for the decision letter. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you.

Hi Just to update, I got the letter around 5 days later.
They have extended my PIP another 3 years at the same rate.
Annoyingly they scored me 11 points so one point away from the the 12 points needed for the higher amount.

Thank you for the update @Rcoop45. That's good news they have extended it for another 3 years, are you happy with the outcome?

HI @Mary_Scope yes atleast its less stress for me and I can focus more on my mental health and getting myself sorted.
These processes are always on my mind and I feel they definitely affect my recovery.
