ADP and redetermination

I applied for adp in April this year and I was short on 2 points for the living and mobility sections. A week before I received my outcome I got a phone call from the case adviser asking me why my gp isn’t replying to their letters. I went away and called the gp and was told that one colleague who is in another practice is employed just to do this kind of work and they only work a few days a week and were on annual leave for a month . And it will take them months to get through the back log . Also this person hasn’t even met me or that, so a bit worrying so I wasn’t awarded the benefit when the letter came a week later .
I have sent in a redetermination and enclosed a full copy of my medical notes and proof of medication and also my award letter for Lcwra.
This was 3 July this year and I went on webchat 2 weeks ago to see if any updates and was told that they are awaiting back information from my gp!! So same scenario as before , told my benefit advisor and they asked me to ask why they doing this as they sent them my full medical notes ? I was then told this is normal procedure ? So this was 7 days ago and the 56 days is up tommorow since i sent the redetermination and the advisor said then they had 6 days to finalise my claim and would speak with a practitioner about it. I have a feeling this will be a no again . I have had a condition since 1996 and it’s been ongoing since then .
Do I then go straight to appeal if I don’t get a outcome by tommorow?
Thanks

Hi @chacha26 really sorry to read your situation, that's quite an ordeal and I can see why you're concerned about the medical record situation. I would say so, yes. The next step would be a tribunal. Are you going to contact them after tomorrow again if you don't hear back?

Thanks for your reply to my post , it’s really frustrating that my gp has a system like this . I haven’t heard anything today nothing in my post from them , they did text me giving me updates when I first put in a claim but for the redetermination I have had no updates , so if I don’t hear by tommorow should I call ? Not sure if they will tell me anything over the phone ? As in the outcome I have never been in this position before .

It's entirely up to you. If they've given you this deadline, I'd be tempted to give them a call after that date to try and gauge what's happening. I hope you hear some good news soon! Please keep us updated if you're happy to.

hi a wee update I went on the web chat this morning and asked that my 56 days since I asked for the redetermination , she said they had to midnight today to inform me but then came back and said a letter has been posted out yesterday and I asked can you give me a outcome and she said you have been awarded enhanced mobility , I asked about the daily living and she then said I can’t talk about that and that was the end of the conversation . But looking on my original claim that was refused it was 2 points away from daily living and 4 from mobility standard so I am confused I will need to wait now for the letter to check it .

Thanks for your comment , I will hopefully receive my letter today or tommorow and I will know what is what , apart from I have been awarded enhanced mobility . I really thought I would have got the daily living and not the mobility or standard mobility , so if I appeal can you appeal the daily living part or is it the whole thing that gets looked at . My benefit advisor away for a week so just asking this so I know . Thanks
