DLA to PIP
hi could somebody please advise me? Should I claim PIP now rather than wait until next year when rules might possibly change I am still on the old DLA and not sure when I will get transferred over

I waited for my change over as they will transfer you on too new benefits p I p don’t think change over before your due too they can sometimes say have wait

Hey there @rigilsalim786 Can I just check, is your DLA scheduled to change over to PIP next year?

I am when it will be changed to PIP, but at some point it will do so I believe

sorry the previous message didn’t make sense. It’s meant to read. I am not sure when it will be but at some point it will do so

OK, thanks for the clarification @rigilsalim786 . Usually you'll need to wait for the changeover. Though you could in theory trigger a new reassessment by putting in a change of circumstances? That usually leads to them changing to PIP if it's not in the too distant future from what I've read online.

thanks for your advice but even when the time comes for them to transfer me over to PIP I would still go through another reassessment. It’s not an automatic transfer and they start paying me pip is that correct?

That's correct, you'll still need to have an assessment when you make the move over.
