Help with moving house

Hi, I live lone in a 3 bed semi. I need to move to somewhere smaller because I can no longer look after the garden, manage the stairs etc. I have rheumatoid arthritis and very poor hearing, which makes communication very difficult (I cn't use the telephone for exmple).
Wht I'm looking for is help with the physical aspects of moving (packing etc) and, due to hearing difficulty, help with contacting all the utility people, stuff like that. Is there an organistion/charity thaat could assist with all that stuff when the time comes?

Many moving companies offer a complete service, packing, moving and unpacking.

Hi @Saraid. I found this website quite helpful - Help with moving | Independent Age, especially the Grants and Charities section. ☺️

Several of the utility companies have a 'priority service' who would be able to communicate with customers in 'alternative formats' and can also help with things like reading meters, etc. If you move within the same region you may still have the same water company.
