Disability element pay and arrears - 2025
Hello all,
Quick question
My daughter recently moved over from dla to pip so her claim was reviewed and they decided she is now entitled to the enhanced mobility and enhanced daily living (she was getting the standard daily living before)
Due to this change I updated u.c on my journal as I know the disability element will now increase on u.c
I was told the new disability element will be reflected in my next month's pay
However, I am wondering if there is a backpay dud and if so how much and when it will be payed...
Change happened 04/06/2025
Updated u.c 04/06/2025
My u.c assessment period is 18/05/2025 - 19/06/2025
Really confused :/ thanks in advance for any help :)

Hi @Samantha89 so sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. Did you manage to get an answer from DWP regarding the potential back pay?

Hello Holly
Yes I did thank you :)
There was no backpay due as they said my daughter was on dla already so the pip claimed just continued as its paid in arrears?

Thanks for coming back to me @Samantha89. Really sorry to hear it was a no to the backpay.

DLA continues for 4 weeks after PIP is determined, UC wouldn’t increase the award for yourself until PIP came in to force.
