Info regarding self employed partner with a partner on LWRCA
Hi , his start up year ends October he’s self employed due to health problems and age. Some months he has a good wage and others lower or nothing as he waits to be paid . They’ve told him from Oct/nov he needs to earn think it’s around 1600 a month . He is on pip due to his problems but didn’t get awarded LWRCA although they accept he has problems . I get LWRCA. Are we about to be punished for been older in not so good health if he can’t make 1600 a month ? He can’t even go to work some weeks ! Thank you so much for reading x

Hi @Dendoo I've not heard of a minimum you must earn before. Could this be the minimum floor figure they've mentioned which usually comes in to play after the first year? This is used to determine the universal credit value paid. This might be helpful as it details the minimum floor rules in more detail - Minimum Floor. Sorry if I've misunderstood 🙂

Hi I’m currently waiting to go to tribunal I was a few points short. It’s so worrying as we’re both over 60 . He’s been manual worker all his life had serious spinal surgery 20 years ago got told his working days were over but eventually went back to work as he couldn’t stand it doing nothing . Obviously things are getting worse body wise as he ages . He takes less strenuous work when he can but it doesn’t help . 🤷♀️

I'm really sorry to read that @Dendoo 😔 I hope the tribunal goes in your favour. Do you know when it'll be yet?
