Direct payments with UC

I have been advised by CAB that Direct Payments are not to be declared as our own money savings and investments to Universal Credits is this correct?

Hi @blacklight. That is correct as it's not income but for funding for care requirements. 😊

Its not my money savings or investments either right? So guess thats why CAB said not to declare it under MY money savings and investments declaration? Only to include my own money, savings investments such as my own personal money? Not the account which the DP go into as its only the DP that go into that account. So no requirement to add that account under my own money savings and investments?

I would say so, yes. 😊
For the purposes of savings and investments declaration, DP doesn't need to be included.
