Pip passed my partners backpay to debt management

Hi my partner had her assessment last Tuesday the 26th August. All went well. She has been awarded from standard to enhanced in both sections. She has also been awarded an underpayment amount of 5k plus, but this has been passed to debt management, apparently for an overpayment, called debt management, they say it's for one debt to hmrc, all over £5.46p. I was just wondering if there was a way this could be paid off quicker by card or something so the money could be released quicker, because they are saying there is a 2-week backlog on it at the moment before they get around to looking at it seems a bit unfair to hold 5k plus over such a small amount for this length of time

If you've already called did you offer payment in full on the phone?
There is also a new online service:
Otherwise it's just a matter of waiting until they get to her case unfortunately.

That's a shame, looks like you will have to wait then until they get to her case.
