PIP awarded December 2023 for 2 years.

Review process began with letter & text (08.04.25 & 09.04.25), actual form only received 21.04.25.

Had pre-prepared all my answers, so completed and returned the form, with additional sheets of information, by 22.04.25.

Advised by text in July 2025, review process would begin soon.

September 4th, received text, review complete, decision letter within 2 weeks. Must have been paper- based, as had neither telephone nor face to face interview.

Decision letter arrived 11.09.25.

Although the whole review process can be stressful, time consuming and lengthy, in view of my timeline, knowing that your review process will occur in the months leading up to your end of award date

  1. Check the current review form format online, and give yourself plenty of time to prepare answers to each question, providing additional information if needed.
  2. Undertake this process in small sections, try not to attempt it all at once, it can be quite daunting.
  3. Give yourself sufficient time, being unprepared will just cause panic, you know it is coming, think ahead, plan and organise for it.
  4. Once completed, have someone you trust to be honest with you, read through it with you.

5. Once you have sent it off, do not stress about it, whatever happens, the decision is out of your hands at this point.

6.Once you have your decision letter, if the outcome is not what you expected, take a breath, do not panic, give yourself time to decide what to do next.

All of us face this review, and rightly so, if you need help with activities of daily living, and/or mobility, just be truthful.

No one is trying to trick you, or void a genuine claim, these reviews are done to check that you are being given the correct amount of help, for your current needs.

Hope so too, the process must seem terrifying to some people, but my attitude to it is, it has to be done, will be repeated (hopefully!!), in the future, so start preparing well in advance.

Good luck to everyone dealing with the review process at the moment.
