Confirming Identity
Hi, I recently did our daughters migration from ESA to UC. Thnakfully it went smoothly, however as we thought our Son's was more complicated as we expected. When I have gone through the to do list today the part where you confirm your identity asked about loans. He hasn't had any loans so it was unable to accept his ID and now says we will call you in the next 2/3 days. Out of curiosity what have other peoples experince of this been. As his appointee it's my phone number that they will call but the problem is I work in schools so have to have my phone switched off. How long have people had to wait and what questions will I be asked as he does not live with us. Just need to be prepared, many thanks.

I've had that message on my UC account for over 3 years!
(It's been suggested it's a throwback to Covid when they were all working from home).
An appointment will be made for an id check whether that's in person at the Job Centre or a biographical phone call.
Notification of the appointment date & time will be added to his Journal.
