Awww that's a shame! Personally, I think you're missing out. Some of my most interesting and funny friends are over 50 😅

If I felt the need, Kimi, I certainly could, but I pretty much find managing my small house and dog takes up all my time.

This area is great, if you like golf, and have the health and money to indulge in it.

Talk about different lived experiences. Yesterday, when i was out with Gus, i saw a teenager getting dropped off by his old man at the driving range, chauffeur driven in a ridiculous, oversized North American pickup truck!

We walked or cycled everywhere and couldn't even afford green fees.

I'll leave that kind of hypocrisy to my younger sibling. They pretended to believe, attended the CofE church until they had enough 'ticks in the box' ( I found it nauseating to hear even their children talking this way), then, when they had secured the necessary places at the posh school, they never went back!

I know it benefits both parties, but how must that feel for the vicar? A church full of sharp elbowed chancers who are only using him. Tell you what, i'd be tempted to chuck them out for their cheek.

It's not about pretending to believe in anything. It's about enjoying a book group or craft or attending a lunch club. You probably wouldn't catch sight of a vicar. They will be about their business.

Let's nip this in the bud now please folks. You know any talk of religion always gets out of hand. Let's keep this friendly please. 😊

Quite right Albus, I forgot about all that business.

I used to attend every home game at Dens Park, home of Dundee FC. I probably won't get back to that, what with now using a powerchair or scooter, finances, and leaving Gus home alone. I do still plan to attend some home games in the future.

It would be pointless to suggest to someone who doesn't support Dundee, and doesn't even like football, that it might be an idea to attend the odd game, for company or otherwise! There is probably a better place for them to spend their free time.

Even if Dens Park hosted other activities ( it used to have a dog track around the pitch), I still have my suspicions that a club representative might sneak talk about football in there at some point. 😉

It's getting that time of year isn't it @xodza. I'm hoping to get out for a little walk after work tonight if it's ok. I am quite looking forward to the cooler evenings though. Getting the fluffy socks and blankets out and the autumn pumpkin spice candles. 😊 And quite looking forward to the cheesy Christmas films as we get closer to winter.

good morning to everyone not been able to get out for while but hopefully will get someone take me out today only to local post offices so probably only be out for around twenty minutes think when your illness affects your disability you don’t realise how much of your independence and getting out goes away unless someone can take you out

    good morning @xodza 😄

That will be nice, hopefully they will be able to. Sometimes it doesn't matter how long its for, just being able to leave your house and being in a new environment can make you feel a bit better. What films have you been watching so far on your new movie channel you found?

Ooo those sound really good @xodza, I haven't heard of those before but they sound right up my street as I really enjoy a good detective and whodunnit film and TV shows too! Which Aurora Teagarden film do you recommened to watch first?

I do like watching films and I like lots of different types apart from romance, I don't really enjoy those as much! I've recently created a channel 4 account and they have lots of free films on there that i haven't seen before so i'm looking forward to have a look through there properly on the weekend😊

@xodza Just moving a little bit is great, don't overdo it. The sun is out here but it's still chilly!
