Saw a lovely Red Admiral butterfly in the garden today. And it's sunny enough to dry the washing outside, so it'll be all fresh when I bring it in later. Delightful 🌞

I hope the problem wasn't too costly to repair? Nothing to do with theses machines seems to be cheap!

    It was costly, £420! 😭

You got it right, Chris, yep, cricket! 😎 I had good news on that too, as a thank you for our support, they're letting all members go to the final for free. So I got my money back on the ticket, that goes a little way towards the wheelchair motor!! πŸ˜‰ Mind you, it'll probably be rained off! 🀣

I might have missed out, but I have absolutely no idea about cricket. I don't know about England, but I tend to think of private schools and posh clubs when I think of cricket. I have almost never seen lads playing it in the park, or had any introduction at school.

There is a private cricket club about 7 miles away, and that looks posh. I also know the fee paying Dundee High School teach it (The school Ricky Ross went to).

Anyway, glad you got the old jalopy back on the road!

@ durhamjaide2001 - Nothing exciting, but it is as much 'cooking' as I manage now.

I had 3 veggie sausages, a small baked (microwave) potato, and a generous amount of cannellini beans.

Tomatoes on toast is very nice. I am a recent convert.

Have you anything to report with regards to your move? It must be quite an exciting prospect!

    Thank you! ☺️

All walks of life play cricket now, not just at private schools, state education is no barrier, including top players. There's a big push to get kids playing, boys & girls, playing in state schools, joining clubs & things. With the advent of The Hundred, a franchise shorter form of the game with just 100 balls to bowl, it has really got kids interested, which is what is needed. There was a guy who used to post on here that played for the Hampshire disability team.

I once saw some Asian men playing cricket in a park in Aberdeen, but that must be one of the very rare instances I can recall.
