Hi I'm in hospital I've had a stroke n not eating too much. But I have a drip up that goes into my veins spo I still get nutrients. If this was stopped would I eat more?

    Hi weegill and welcome

Sorry to hear you are in hospital, I hope you get better soon
As to your question, I suppose it depends on how good the hospital food is  :)

    Hi @weegill23
The drip is ensuring that you get all the nutrients you need, would you rather be eating food? Generally they don't like keeping you on PN (parenteral nutrition) if you are able to eat enough food to sustain you.

It's worth having a chat with your carers and doctors about why and how long they want to keep you on PN and also what your options are :)
