NHS bec
I was supplied an NHS bed when I moved in to my abode (assisted living) in March 2022.
The mattress is rather hard and at times hurts to lie on. I was put in touch with the council,s occupational therapist assistant who said in Aug 2025 that he would be get on to the District Nurse at the council, but I have yet to here anything back.
I am mentioning this on here because I wonder is it possible to get a more suitable NHS mattress supplied by the NHS & I wonder if anyone on here has had problems with home beds supplied by the NHS?

Hi @matthewkevin84 that sounds incredibly uncomfortable. I don't have any direct experience (hopefully other members might be able to help). Just wondered if you've chased the occupational therapist assistant for an update/ETA?

As above ask your OT for an update. If the request was made in August it's probably still in the system somewhere. Unfortunately the NHS system is quite slow.
