    hello ive just claimed uc and 5 mins later i was asked if i required a spare bedroom for overnight care i answered yes as i have for the past 4 weeks they never asked in my interview, i pay for 2 extra bedrooms i never heard nothing back from uc until i got my statement and they have awarded me it im confused does this automatically get applied or has it went to a decision maker and been decided and will they take this away , thank you

    As it's been awarded then it shouldn't be taken away, unless in future you declare that you no longer receive/require regular overnight care.

    I’m just confused as I thought I would of had to provide information which I could of provided no problem do you think there was enough t evidence on the system for them to make this decision

    For UC it seems to be enough that:

    A claimant has a spare bedroom

    A claimant receives a qualifying benefit

    A claimant declares they do receive regular overnight care from a non resident carer.

    I've advised lots of people and never seen UC ask for further proof.

    okay thanks I’m just worried next month they take it off me and I have to go getting evidence , they have got my conditions and disorders on file so maybes that’s what’s made them come to this decision , thanks
