LCWRA

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help.me out here. I'm on pip for conditions etc. But also uc..I have now have a work capability assessment UC which is in a weeks time. They want to do a video call. Can i opt for a phone call instead for the assessment??? as I'm having panic attacks and full of anxiety to do a video. I know pip & ,LCWRA r different but they already know I'm on the pip but still want to assess me which they should of gone on my evidence what I put in my UC50 form. I'm panicking cause my support is leaving who would of sat on the phone with me. I'm numb & want to change to date cause feel I'm not ready. I appreciate any support. Thank you

phone and explain the situation that you would prefer a phone call rather than video one

If you didn't have a phone capable of video calling you couldn't do that.
No, essentially, they can't make you do that unless they provide you with a suitable phone.
There'll certainly be ways out of the video call, I encourage you to ask them for a phone call.
You may not be able to control the date they do it (although I did that by insisting on a call after lunchtime), but they can't insist on a video call.
I would find being on video completely distracting, I encourage you to ask them for an alternative or to buy you a suitable phone.

Yes let them no due to your Anxious you prefer a phone call
It's a very similar situation question wise as the PIP assessment
You should pass it as I got phone call from UC letting me no I was awarded PIP even before I received my letter...which Automatically made me Eligible for the LCWRA

It's just Routine for the LCWRA Assessment due to filling in the
Just answer the question clearly and honest as you can from what you said on your UC50 form

Hi Vogue,
Thank so much for your response & support. You say pip candidates are automatically receive the LWRCA. But unfortunately that doesn't come into power until 2028 pip will eligibility qualify only. I'm panicking here. That they could not pass me. What r yr thoughts on this. Could you give me clarity on this.
Thank you once again. I await yr response.

Hey @Anthony1234 I'm so sorry to hear this is causing you so much distress. You can ask for a phone assessment, that's certainly within their power. But please try not to worry too much as it's not the end of the road if they turn you down, you can still ask for a mandatory reconsideration (MR) and if that fails, there's always the tribunal.
I've popped you a quick email, so please be on the look out for it. 😊0 -
These assessments cause alot of us ptsd it is traumatic our thoughts or body becomes flooded with fear and blind terror honestly ive always found esa or lcwra assessment less stressful than pip gather your thoughts you can get SARS form from doctor its free has medical evidence on it even get doctors note any paperwork about conditions family can write if they support you break it down bit by bit and write from morning to night dont leave anything out and breathe you will get through this i started grounding this sounds crazy I take shoes off stand on grass hug trees breathing exercises and listening to certain frequency music I have to try something as anxiety has me on my knees be kind to yourself talk to yourself what you say becomes reality do a mantra I am in control anxiety won't get the best of me can do many mantras goodluck you got this ps excuse spelling
