💙 National Sons Day 💚 Sun 28th Sept
Today is a day to have a special celebration of our wonderful sons. It's a day to acknowledge how much joy they bring us and the happy memories they help to create.
History
It is a relatively new day of celebration and was founded in 2018 when Jill Nico realised there was a Daughters Day but nothing for sons. So now we celebrate the young men in our lives too 😊
Get Involved
What does your son love to do? Football? Watch a film? Anything will do, it doesn't have to be anything big, just a simple way to let them know how special they are to you. Here are some ideas:
- Go to the cinema
- Give them a call
- Play a game together
- Get some snacks and watch your favourite show together
I have a teenaged son who is doing his GCSEs this year and has already chosen his college course and shortlisted universities! I wish I was that organised at his age. He makes me so proud every day and he's such a wonderful big brother to his little sister. His favourite thing is video games and pizza so tonight we'll play some Mario Kart and get a takeaway. What will you do?
If you have a son or grandson, let us know what you love about them and your favourite memories together ❤️

Rachel, this is an American national day, like the National Daughters Day was.
