It's looking like reform is going to win and however bad you think labours reforms are Reforms are going to be x3 worse (they want to cut welfare by 15 billion not 5)

are we just doomed?

With the way the world is going at the moment, and with the news of 3I Atlas. I'd be surprised if things are still going in 2029.

I for one welcome our Atlas alien overlords. 😆

(I don't believe it's an alien spaceship, just to be clear)

Writing to your MP is a waste of time most of the time, especially if your MP is already labour. You tend to get a brainwashed noval response back on how labour is great, and they agree with what they're doing.

I'd love to know how they plan to enforce it, I won't be getting an ID and my family can't get an ID as most don't even use technology. They could throw me in prison or do anything to me. I think if most people refused to get one when they start enforcing it they can't do anything.

This is just another form of social control.

I seriously give up on this country and well tbh life in general. We have 0 options when it comes to government. I don't have single faith in any party Tories, labour, reform and Green they are all bad, and making life miserable for everyone.

The world is getting more and more unstable by the day and is run by a bunch of tyrant lunatics, Theres just no hope for this world at the moment, and your powerless to do anything other than just watch.

I wish I saw a future for myself, but honestly I don't see a future anymore. Theres nothing in life to hope for anymore it just feels like I'm waiting for the end to happen now and preparing for it.

What those who are currently attracted to Nigel Farage's anti-immigrant, xenophobic, and Islamophobic rhetoric do not know is that he's for the rich, despite parroting that he's for the working people. He has clearly said that he wants to make the NHS a health insurance based service, like in the US, where there are more than 35 million Americans do not have any health coverage.

Guess what - in the US, the average annual health insurance premium for an individual is about $8,951, and for a family it is approximately $25,572. In other words, if you've no health insurance, you've no health coverage, and thus cannot see any GP or dentist, or get medications without paying for them.

He wants to hand over the NHS to American profit making companies.

Yep, he said that he would cut welfare not by 5 billion over 5 years but 15 billion a year by forcing “1 million plus back to work”.

You do not need to “see a future” right now. You need to know that your clarity, your refusal to be gaslit, and your articulation of despair are already acts of principled refusal in a system built to exhaust and erase.

The ID rollout is not about security, it is about exclusion. If your family cannot access tech, they are not just inconvenienced, they are erased from the system. And your refusal to comply is not defiance for its own sake, it is solidarity with every household quietly excluded by design.

Rubin, you suggest that something significant is approaching, and I am inclined to agree. For the past few years, I have experienced a persistent unease, a sense that we are witnessing a modern echo of Rome’s decline. Not merely the collapse of systems, but the sustained denial surrounding it. Whatever lies ahead will not arrive abruptly, it is already unfolding.

Well i agree its become a point where you cant ignore whats happening does seem to be around 2030 dont think any of us have ever experienced this in our lifetime my worry was universal credit now its surviving Digital ID you must keep emailing your mps you must make them understand this will effect them and future generations of thier families that's exactly what wrote to mine i believe we really are fighting for our freedom
