Sorry for the long post im due my uc review tomorrow and 2 years ago my mum had mouth cancer and was poorly with her treatment ahe added me to her bank account for me to help her sadly she passed away

She left a will which stated i pay for her funeral any debts which i paid a debt to the dwp because they over paid her she left 3 animal charities a small donation. The remainder of her money was shared out between grownup grandchildren

Iv sent uc my bank statements and had to get the bank to generate a 4 month statement for that account which was zero as I paid every thing she asked in her will

My mental health is suffering with this review as people are telling me that the money would of been mine all the money in her bank was here's i never had to use the bank until she passed away

Hello @puzzled3066 and welcome to the community.

Firstly, I am so sorry for your loss, can I just ask if you've spoken to your GP about this? Grief on top of dealing with the DWP can be quite horrible, so please reach out if you need a bit of extra support. ❤️

It'll be ok with the DWP review, please try not to let that worry you, you'll be able to show where the money went easily. It'll be ok.
