UC & Rent worries - Managed payment to landlord?

Hi.
I've recently been migrated over to UC from income related ESA support group, the problem I have is trying to sort out my rent now that the housing benefit has stopped being paid by the council, I will be receiving UC every 2 weeks from the 26/10.
All well and good but trying to get the UC crew to pay my rent direct to my council (Welwyn Hatfield) and speaking to both of them on the phone has just left me stressed out as they seem not to know what to do!
The UC keep mentioning applying for 'Managed payment from the landlord" WHC day they can't do this.. I really don't know what to do obviously I'm worried about getting in debt with my rent payments etc.
So please any information or advice on how to sort this out will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @Faltskog, sorry you're having issues getting this sorted. If you'd like your rent to be paid directly to your landlord - in this case, the council - you would need to ask for direct rent payments to go to them. Here's some more information that explains what is involves and how to apply .
I'm not sure why the council have said they can't do this, did they say why?

Thank you for the reply, it's hard to know what the problem is between them, I will ask on my journal for direct rent payments to go to WHC.
