Universal credit application

, my brother is 18 and has a disability.
He’s recently applied for Universal Credit. He has a Child Trust Fund that matured when he turned 18, but he hasn’t withdrawn or done anything with it yet.
Does he need to declare this amount as capital to Universal Credit since it hasn’t been withdrawn?
Also, does he need to upload any medical evidence for his disability, and is there anything else he should do or expect as part of the process?
Thank you.

He needs to declare his health condition, and upload a Fit Note asap to start the Work Capability Assessment process, and continue giving Fit Notes up until he gets a decision. It's really important to ensure there are no gaps in submitting Fit Notes- it's the date they are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them.
Yes the child trust fund will count as capital for UC, because it is money in his name that he can access.
