UC Migrate id worry!

Hello, I had a letter telling me I have to migrate from Esa support group to UC, my time is running out so I have to start the claim next week but What can I do about ID?

I have no photo id, no passport or driving licence. I don't know what to do, I am scared they will call me in to see them and I don't think I could cope with the stress/anxiety of going to a job centre these days.

is there a way of getting id that they'll accept?

they'll possibly be able to do a biometic id, I did my id answering questions relating to my experian and I know others have had biometic telephone calls where they ask questions about you to confirm identity ❤️

After you apply for UC you will have access to your journal. Straightaway I wrote on it requesting a biographical phone appointment to verify my identity rather than going to the jobcentre and explained why. They were absolutely fine with this and set a date and time. The man who phoned me was lovely and very understanding

I filled in the online forms today. it was so hard and they wanted so much information.

They've now given me a job centre appointment and it's not even in my town and I have no transport. I told them and asked for a phone appointment but they said they can't do that. This is outrageous! I'm stressed and anxious enough as it is and now I have to pay a load of money to get taxis to the jc in the next town and back. I'm really annoyed and very worried, just stepping into a jc building sets me stress through the roof.

I would try another Journal note, state you are requesting a biographical id check by phone as a reasonable adjustment due to your health condition.

Alternatively, do you have anyone that would go with you & support you for the in person appointment?

It might help to plan a nice treat for afterwards.

I've said I'll go, unfortunately I have to go alone as my mum is ill. I will get a taxi there and back, no idea how much it will cost and I'm already so worried about what they want me for. stress level is super high.

Are you able to copy & paste the wording used for the appointment?

Please make sure any personal details are removed.

It's most likely an ID check, I know you don't have photo ID but do take all the documents you have with you.

    Yes, here it is:-

Prepare for and attend your standard identity appointment in a jobcentre

You need to bring in certain documents to support your claim.

(Now I don't have any id but I'm taking everything I have, which is a bank statement, letter from landlord, rent book, letter from council confirming my rent, letter from my doctor, several letters about my esa, the letter telling me I have to migrate and a letter where I applied for a postal vote). It's all I have, hope its enough
