in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi I have almost finished my online joint claim for UC, I understand I have to do the commitments, this was fri 17th oct , how long will i have to wait approx. for the phone call from DWP. i have got a few medical appointment's in the next few days I'm scared of missing the call. Thanks

    Are you seeing a message saying they will call you in the next few days?

    I've had that on my claim since April 2022 😂

    If you are required to accept commitments by phone (they may only ask you to confirm online via Journal), an appointment is generally added onto Journal with advance notice.

    I rang them at UC helpline because I have only got one form of id a passport the bills are all in my partners name apart from the council tax which is in both our names,

    If you need to verify ID then an appointment for this will be added to your Journal, whether that is going to the Job Centre in person or by a biographical phone call.

    All you need to do is sit tight and wait for appointments to be booked, or anything that appears on your To Do list.

    The Citizens Advice Help to Claim service is also there to help support you through the process and answer any questions.
