I haven't been involved with them for a while but the National Autistic Society do some very good work.
I encourage you to contact them:

I don't know if it's available in every area, but have you looked into Social Prescribing?
It's where you're assigned someone (called a Social Prescriber) who essentially "prescribes" non-medical things that might be of use to you
You tell them what your goals are and then they are supposed to look at you from a holistic point of view. In other words they act with your goals in mind rather than aiming to treat individual symptoms
They also are supposed to connect different services. So for example if you said you'd like to go to a gym but you can't because of disability and cost, they'd look into the help to enable you to do this i.e. both financial help and reasonable adaptations at the gym
I've spoken to one myself but haven't used them yet as we had a family issue which put it on hold; so I can't say whether it was of any benefit but she seemed very enthusiastic and wanting to help

I forgot to say, you go to a GP or psychiatrist to be referred to one, but you can also refer yourself if you Google your local one, as I know doctors are hard to get hold of at the moment – it helped me to know I could skip that step

Have you got a social enterprise cafe in your town? If you have, you should be able to apply to them direct either by popping in or using their online form to get a chance to volunteer.
Not only are these places fab for adapting the work around you, they have social lunches and nights out too so you can make friends with like-minded people.
They aren't specific to autism though - they are a bridge for anyone with any disability to learn work skills.
