Shockwave Lithotripsy

I'm having this treatment tomorrow for kidney stones and was wondering if anyone has had it done?

I've not had this done myself but I just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow, I hope it goes well!
Hopefully one of our members has experienced it and can share how it went.

Sorry nobody was about to share in the time you needed it @onmylonesome. How are you doing? Did the procedure go okay? Hope your recovery is going well.

The procedure didn't happen and I am fuming! After nearly 2 hours of travelling (2 buses) on a Sunday I arrived 15 mins early, appointment 12.30.
At 12.40 I was lead to a side room, half hour later 13.10 a doctor comes in and goes through a few different procedures with me but can't do anything because he didn't have a pic/scan of the stone!
Told me I would get a letter with an appointment for a mri scan. At 13.15 I was leaving the hospital!
They knew that they didn't have a pic of the stone so why was this appointment made?
Because of buses missing and having to get off a bus half way home because there was something wrong with it I put my key in the door at 16,.05!

Oh @onmylonesome that's so annoying, I'm really sorry to hear that. Horrible for them to mess you around when they shouldn't have arranged it in the first place.
Hope you've had a chance to rest up after all that fuss with the buses. And fingers crossed they treat you better next time, that's awful!

Apparently I was there for a consultation only 🙄 I have now been given another appointment for the 31st to have a CT scan.
I have made a complaint so we shall see what happens.0
