Will travelling abroad effect any future PIP reassessment and will the DWP be notified if i i travel
I have epilepsy and it makes me pretty miserable. Though i don't like admitting this to myself. It would not be very sensible for me to travel alone. I had a fit in a park a few months back when i was walking back from the shop.
I got a taxi to my mums but she wasn't there. So i had to sleep outside, because i lost my keys and was locked out of my flat. If that happened when i was abroad. Then i could end up stranded in another country or something.
However i would still like to travel. Some people in my family, have asked me if i want to go to Thailand with them. I would love visit such an exotic foreign country. The problem is i am scared that it would effect any future PIP reassessment.
Do the guys who assess you have access to that information when you are reassessed? Will the DWP be notified by passport control, if i leave the country? The problem i have is that every time i have tried to get a real job. They always want to get rid of me after i have had a few fits.
So i have only been able to handle volunteer jobs. Where they are cool whenever you are not well enough to go or have to leave early. If i lost my disability money, then i am in serious trouble. As i would end up with not enough money to live off.
Whilst being physically incapable of holding on to a real job. So there would be no way of me getting enough money to survive. Has anybody been in my position before? Particularly someone with epilepsy or a similar kind of health condition?
Do they always find out if you leave the country? Are they notified by passport control or something? If they find out i have travelled. Then will they use this against me, when i am up for review?
Did they do that to you or anyone you know? I haven't been on holiday for years and just because i have fits quite often. I don't see why i shouldn't be able to go on holiday like a normal person. I have petit mal seizures daily and about one or two grand mal seizure a week.
But i am used to it and as long as someone is with me then it's no big deal.

I would be more worried about getting travel insurance before you even contemplate going abroad.
