Am I going mad or is there a way to check next payment of PIP? I'm sure I've used it before but I can't find the option to press on 08001214433

Hi @wonkydaze it should be exactly 4 weeks since your last payment if that's any help and your most recent award letter should have the payment schedule if that's any help. I'm not too sure about the automation line, but they should be able to help if you speak with them.

Never used the PIP automated line and it can be inaccurate, but I have had a look for you and found:-
The PIP automated payment line allows claimants to check the date and amount of their next Personal Independence Payment (PIP) without speaking to an agent. This service is accessible via a phone menu system.
To use the automated payment line, dial 0800 121 4433 and follow these steps:-
Select 1 for English (or 2 for Welsh).
Press 6 to access the automated payment information.
Follow the prompts to verify your identity by answering security questions.
Once verified, the system will provide details about your next payment, including the amount and date.

That's very kind of you. I tried to work it out with online searches but only found lots of old Reddit discussions that were all different numbers and out of date. I'm in the middle of a review and I suddenly had an emergency and didn't know if I could rely on that money coming in for this next payment. I guess they could still stop it if I check too early. But thanks again.

You won't lose your PIP payments until you get the decision letter and hopefully you have been successful and you don't.

I'm not holding any hope on that. I need to start planning my MR now but my son is very ill. He's been in hospital after a really nasty respiratory bug (guessing COVID) and he now has lots of things he needs us to do for him.

Hello @wonkydaze. I'm very sorry to hear about your son, I hope he's on the mend now?

He's been on IV antibiotics and has to continue with tablets now he's back home. His lymph system is struggling, he has to sleep sitting up, he's in agony and he's lost loads of weight. So I think he has a way to go before he's back to something near normal. I hate that we are just supposed to carry on with COVID as if it's just another cold.

Sorry your son has been ill, it might have been pneumonia? Antibiotics don't work on a virus.

Hi it was pneumonia but the CT scan found cysts on his lungs as well. It was a secondary infection after a nasty virus. The doctors did a lot of tests because they had never seen cysts on the lungs of someone as young and healthy. It was difficult to get him to take the virus seriously and I think he just didn't know how to access medical care because it was his first time living away from home. He'd only ever been to a doctor once as a child so it just wasn't something he had any experience with.
