Hi, my name is paula9, stressed by repeat prescription changes, any advice?
Hello,
Does anyone else get stressed out ordering their repeat prescriptions that they cant live without. I'm in this position because i have epilepsy and Iam housebound with. chronic OCD . My doctors surgery is stopping the email requests for medications I use email because the pharmacy stopped requesting them for me a couple of years ago and now they have said for me to use the complicated online forms (patches) or the nhs app which means you nerd to have a photographic ID, I don't posess one to register for the app and I also have an acquired brain injury which makes it more difficult and stressful for me. I have emailed my MP and spoken to my advocate who will be leaving by the end of next month. A close family member is my carer has spoken to my GP surgery and they didn't sound very understanding although they did say they will put it to tbe management.
How do others manage this stressful situation?

Would applying for a passport be an option?
It's a big upfront cost, but per year the price is low and it's surprising just how many times it comes in useful for id.

Have you thought about applying to your local council for a voter authority certificate? It’s officially recognised as a valid photo ID & it’s also free & easy to apply for.
All you need to do is fill out the form on your local council website & upload a recent pic of you in front of a plain background.
Once you have your ID send it to the GP & then sign up to an online pharmacy service like Boots or Lloyds who will organise everything from requesting batch prescriptions from your GP to delivering them. Most even have a reminder to take your meds service.
Hope this helps. I have fibromyalgia, a brain injury & ADHD, it’s better for me now I don’t have to stress about running out of meds. Take care!
