Confused about payments
Hi, my partner is moving in with me and he’s self employed but gets the same wage each week of £575, I receive uc, housing benefit and lcwra and esa, the total I get for uc including the Lcwra and housing benefit is £670 pm housing benefit is £473 a month so I get £180 a month, I also get contribution esa , can anybody work out how much I would get once his claim is complete please, in an idiots form as I can’t understand when I use the online calculator, Thank you.

A local welfare rights organisation or Scope can assist you with a benefits calculator.
Your New Style ESA would not change.
If you get any Transitional Protection (listed on your payment statement if so) on your UC award this will end once your single UC claim changes to a couples UC claim.

What is it about the statement you don't understand?
I wouldn't be comfortable advising without seeing a statement or a statement breakdown with figures.
Are you able to post an image (covering any personal details) or type out a breakdown?
You could also ask the Citizens Advice service for help, they do check first payment statements to make sure they are correct.
If rent hasn't been sent directly to landlord as you requested, you would need to contact UC and find out why this hasn't been done.
In Scotland, rent to landlord only starts with the second monthly payment.
Everywhere else, it can start with the first.
