Does insurance go up alot or a little if the mileage is high?

So I want to know if insurance is significantly more because the van has so much mileage 300,000 or is it more or less the same as a van with much less mileage say 150,000?

Cheers

Hi @John786 is this a new van or one that you've had a while? I'd say that if you've done quite a lot of mileage and expect to do the same in the future then they'll see it as a higher risk of accident so would be more expensive.

Insurers don't take much notice of the vehicle mileage. They are more interested in your yearly mileage.

There is a 'sweet spot' for that. High mileage means you're on the road more so more likely to be involved in an accident. Low mileage means you're likely to be more nervous or lacking repeated experience which also means you're more likely to be involved in an accident. Average mileage seems to be the cheapest.
