I am soooo confused, I migrate to uc next week, from support group, I live in N.I , I know my housing benefit will end when I migrate, and housing element should be applied, but what about rates? I always got both rent and rates paid in full, do I need to inform anyone in particular about the rates or will UC explain what needs to be done. Any help gratefully received. Tia.

Hi @Doglover2, Sorry you haven't had a reply to this yet.
I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with the system in Northern Ireland, but from what I understand there's no support for rates paid directly through UC. But you can apply for a rates rebate once your UC account is set up:
Hope your migration goes smoothly!
