Acess to work, would I likely be successful

So as the title says I'm wondering if anyone has applied for access to work and got a car from them. I have one hand and work full time. I recieve pip but I don't qualify for mobility. I work in care so have to lug around a large bags with clothes, laptop, food for while im at work.

I take public transport which was awkward before but I got a promotion which means I have a laptop and the accessories for this. I am expected to bring paperwork to our office on a monthly basis which takes roughly 3 hours on multiple buses and trains. Its a lot for me to handle and I'm struggling just coming and going from the houses I work in with the usual stuff already listed above.

With all the things I have to carry it is quite precarious getting on and off public transport as I don't always have my hand spare to hold on to anything nevermind people not giving up the seats at the front! I know I need to have remote control adaptions for a car and it needs to be automatic but I have never driven before.

Anyone know the likelihood of my success? Work did ask about getting to and from the office and have said others who go to the office are happy to bring me but I hate to have to rely on others as its not guaranteed.

    Very unlikely, because even if you did qualify, you'd be waiting many months for the support to all be in place. the government are quietly denying claims arbitrarily, similar to PIP, that's worse than what they're publically admitting. It's an ongoing scandal.

    For the sae of your mental health, I'd consider not applying (though i didn't realise AtW did cars, I thought that was just Motability?).

    Depending on how often you have to travel to the office, are you able to take taxis on the days you're meant to bring the paperwork over. Why are the documents physical, surely digital is easier all around?

    I've never heard of Access to Work awarding personal cars.

    We are now mostly documenting through an app/website but some things cannot be added to this at least not yet unfortunately so hard copies are the only option

    As far as I am aware, Access to Work doesn't provide cars, but they do provide taxis. I think that you need to keep your receipts and submit them for payment.
