I was having a conversation with my son about comedy and Victoria Woods name cropt up.I used to love watching her amongst others. My late dad used to laugh hysterically at spike milligan,Dudley Moore. The list goes on.My son had no idea who I was talking about and its sad really tgat unless shows are repeated on tv these talents are lost for thus generation.Shakespear seems to be deep rooted in the educational system and I appreciate that comedy can't obviously hold the same gain. But I think humour is golden in today's world, where every country is fighting their own war.

I love Victoria Wood! I agree that talents can be lost over generations, especially with everything being on-demand as we're not going to come across things like we used to. I guess it's up to us to show the next generation the talented people from our day, although I feel that some things may not stand the test of time! Humour is incredibly important and I love listening to stand-up comedy. I'm not ashamed to say that I still watch cartoons! They're funny, and I don't think their should be an age limit on fun 😊

I used to love the Carry on Films as a child too.It was incredible to actually meet Barbara Windsor many years ago before her Dementia took hold. What a lovely lady.I think Kenneth Williams was my favourite although some actors say it was difficult to work with ( who knows?).But comedy gold
