What's everyone thought’s on buying off Vinted
I find it’s getting pretty pricey especially when it’s second hand clothes. Isn’t the point of selling second hand clothes meant to be cheaper once worn .thanka for reading my post

Hi @Music34
I think Vinted can be hit and miss! I've definitely seen some good stuff and some bargains on there but i've also seen a lot of clothes that are probably only a pound or two cheaper than the shops (not including vinted delivery!), have you had any good bargains?2 -
Hi, have you tried making offers to sellers?
Also have you tried looking for the same item on eBay?
I sell on both, what I upload on Vinted I also upload on eBay.

Also if you buy more than one item from the same seller at the same time. They can be posted together saving on postage. On either site.
If you add items you like to your favourites/Vinted or watchlist/eBay sellers can see this and some offer discounts.
I hope this helps.

I love Vinted for baby clothes as they grow out of them so quickly it doesn't make sense to buy new. I've found some great bargains both for myself and my daughter but I've seen an increase in more 'professional' sellers where the price is higher. It's always worth putting in an offer.

Had a couple of packages that weren't delivered, but I still use Vinted because it's easier to find what I'm looking for on there.

I generally don't buy new clothes really anymore, obviously apart from underwear and socks, and essentials. I just use vinted alot or ebay. I do like vinted alot but over the years I have noticed prices are going up and its hard to find that perfect bargain with more professional sellers or resellers on there.
Saying that though I have 3 charity shops near me, and I go look in there now and then when upto it and I've noticed prices have gone up in them too, its now nearly £10 for a t-shirt.

@Mary_Scope . Yes I have had some great bargains. Though I just felt recently that people are asking for to much on second hand clothes . Just my opinion, yes it’s great if can get a few things from the same seller which then save on postage, hope you’re having a good day 🩷

@rubin16 . Yeah I’m exactly same can’t mind the last time I bought myself something from shop , I was just wondering what everyone else experience was with Vinted and how they find some sellers are asking for couple pounds less than shops when it’s been worn , thanks for your reply, hope you’re having a good day

I fear bedbugs from second hand clothes.

@Freesia123 . Thanks so much for your time to respond, I hope you’re doing good. Yes most of the time I do make offers on whatever I’m interested in buying especially if I think it’s just bit pricey, oh interesting I will need to look on eBay more often, u have a marks and Spencer outlet where I stay get some bargain’s though I’ve seen more recently they are selling on Vinted and not at bargain, thanks for sharing your experience.

@Rachel_Scope . Oh yeah definitely when it comes to baby’s and children clothes I like urself don’t see the point in buying expensive clothes for everyday use as kids go out to play and let’s be honest they don’t care about getting there clothes dirty as they saying goes a dirty child is happy one . Plus it helps build up their immune system. I’m a 1969 baby so it didn’t do me any harm 🤣🙈

I think it's great. I haven't bought any clothes but I've bought other things and in general they're so much cheaper than ebay.
I just don't think it's that great for selling on, I find it lot harder to sell stuff on there than on ebay.

I once got 2 genuine Fred Perry polos from eBay as a gift for my dads birthday, think it cost less than £15 for both!!!!

I saw a brand new pair of slippers on vinted that I liked. They were advertised for £20 plus buyers protection fee of £1.75 . I put them through Google lens and found the exact same pair for £9.99 on an Online retailer.

I like buying stuff for the cats on Vinted, as well as buying perfumes, bags/travel luggage and general home items for myself and have got some real bargains in the past, however, I do find they have poor customer service if im to be honest, especially when trying to get a refund for lost or damaged goods.

No problem. I always check when buying new or very good items from Vinted.

If someone has them in their home, they are very difficult to eradicate.
Simple things like going on holiday, and putting your cases on top of the wardrobe. If the hotel has them, they will be coming back to the UK in amongst your luggage.
It is recommended that when you arrive at the hotel, you leave the cases outside the room, until you conduct a brief check of furniture and corners of the mattresses etc. The black specs are the giveaway, that's their droppings.
If staying overnight in somewhere that is very budget, it is an idea to keep your case in the bath. Don't leave clothing on the floor etc. They emit a sweet smell into the room, that is if an infestation has a good hold.
