How long are pip reviews taking?
Hi,
I sent my hubby's pip review off January 25. I have spoken to pip several times and last month they told me to contact capita which I did. They told me that my hubby's review is being transferred to a new system what ever that means. They also said it is in line to be looked at that's all they can tell me. I sent them an email back in September about wanting my hubby's assessment to be done paper based and the reasons why, I must say they were very understanding of my hubby's situation. Does anybody know how long we live in Staffordshire

I'm currently waiting for mine to come back and have been waiting since April. I received a letter yesterday saying they're extending my award for a month as they're still reviewing it. Hopefully yours won't take as long as mine!

I filled in the online form, which btw I don't recommend doing because you don't have anyone to assist you, but filled in the form in, assessment was one month later and I received a decision in 2 weeks, received a confirmation text to say I have been awarded PIP, just not clear whether the award continues the existing award or has been decreased.

my husbands pip review forms sent in January had assessment October two weeks ago. Had no text to say dwp received forms so rang them check received and while on security questions automated line it told me this months payment which is 26th and it was an increase. Stayed on copy of assessment report. Then today a back payment has gone into the bank from January which is when forms had to be in.

I live in Liverpool and it’s crazy how long some people are waiting in other areas for assessments I thought they were finally catching up. Husbands award originally was up to October so it was bang on end of award when reviewed. It might have something to do with that he gets his state pension end of month so don’t know if review has to been done before then cause you can’t put new claim in once state pension age 🤷♀️

Ring the dwp go though security questions and should tell you your next payment Then can see if an increase or the same. Awful waiting for the letter to arrive

Well done, hope you get the same or more.

I did that but for some reason it doesn't tell us, it used to. But since August 25 which when his award should of finished it doesn't tell us. We had the 12 month extension letter from August 25 up until August 2026. Like I said I contacted capita yesterday and they said it's still not yet been processed. Just a waiting game now.

I got a text on August 13th saying that they received my PiP review form back from me.
On 3rd November I got a text saying the review is complete and that the letter is in the post.

My award was due to end May 2026 and I had the reassessment form in October 2025. I've sent back. So will they automatically extend my payment if they don't complete it in time?
If they extend payment and later not entitle me will they ask for the money back?
I'm autistic and adhd and had a tribunal last time so I hope they don't cause an admin burden for no reason 😶

If they haven't made a decision, a letter would be sent out 35 days before the end of your current award, giving you an extension.
The decision on your review applies on the date they make the decision.
You wouldn't have to pay any money back.
