hi can someone please help me I have had my pip review and they have reduced my mobility point from 12 to 10 so I will lose my vehicle.

they have stated there is insufficient evidence that you would experience overwhelming distress to undertake a familiar journey.

I told them in only leave the house to pick my son up from school or dentist doctor and my routine 3 monthly Hosital check up appointments.

they never asked me if I can safely drive to these appointments without someone with me they only asked about picking my son up from school which 90 percent of the time I need my daughter to accompany me or if she’s not available my next door neighbour will help me none of this was asked and I forgot to mention this.

they have agreed I cannot use any public transport or taxis due to one of my illnesses being severe anxiety.

so without my mobility vechile I am completely housebound as all my other family live back in Scotland and I am in the north east of England to be near my son.

I live alone apart from when my son is with me or my daughter is here as she is 22 and lives with her mother.

I don’t know what I have to do or say for the mandatory reconsideration and I have nobody to help me with this so if anyone can please help that would be very much appreciated.

I'd recommend contacting a local welfare rights organisation for assistance.

Hi @rossco2511 and a warm welcome to the community from me

Sorry to hear this, it sounds like a really stressful situation.

You should include anything that you forgot to mention in the original assessment like how you need your daughter or the next door neighbour to accompany you that you mentioned in your post and anything else that backs up your claim!

Here is some information on mandatory reconsideration and Citizens Advice may also help you fill in the form😊
