Accessible Holidays
Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for accessible holidays (UK or abroad) with carer support please? Thanks

Hi @jharding, I'm afraid I don't have any personal recommendations myself, but I hope the community can share some soon. In the meantime, the Scope website has a page with some links to travel agents who specialise in accessible holidays:
There's also some great links on that page to disabled travel bloggers that might be worth a look if you're planning a trip somewhere ☺️
When you say you're looking for carer support, do you mean that you'll be bringing an existing carer on your holiday? Or would you be looking for a carer who could support you while you travel? If it's the latter, there are a few companies offering carer companions for going on holiday:
I'm sure other members will have some tips too but I hope that's somewhere to start ☺️

I would highly recommend Jersey in the Channel Islands. We drove our wheelchair accessible vehicle to Poole and got the ferry over which took 4 hours. We stayed at Maison des Landes hotel which is specifically built to be accessible (hoists in rooms, fully wheelchair accessible, even has a hydrotherapy pool). There was loads of stuff to do in Jersey, there’s a beach wheelchair charity too so you can borrow beach accessible wheelchairs for free. We would definitely recommend it there. Hope that helps!
