My mom was born in 1930 with CP and lived to be almost 85. She died in August 2015 less than 1 month from her 85th birthday. Of that she was single most of her life. She married so age 30, divorced at age 55 and lived on her own for the remainder of her life. This pic is me and her celebrating her 84th birthday.

My friend was 87 yesterday. I reckon he's the oldest male with CP. Does anyone know?

    Hi @DBEastleigh

87 years old is certainly the oldest male living with CP that I am aware of. Please wish your friend a happy belated birthday from me and the CP Network Team.

My uncle is celebrating his 89th birthday today, 18th July 2025.

Does this make him the oldest in the world ?

Just an update, my Godmother is now 98 and is still with us, but getting a bit more confused now.

I am still trying to find out how old the oldest person ever with CP is....

@HJM, 98 is certainly the oldest person that I have heard of living wth cerebral palsy. I conducted a basic search, and the only result that came back was the oldest living person with CP in Canada—Bernadette Rivard at 83. Your godmother and @Myles_Horton's uncle have eclipsed that.

Thank you. It's incredible for someone who was told at birth that she wouldn't last the night, if only that midwife and doctor could see her now!!!

I did think I'd read about someone in Australia that had got to a ripe old age (a while ago now) that's why I asked about the oldest ever!
