Hoping I could get some info , I sent my pip review back in January & got a text from capita on 11th sept saying they have my review & will contact me if they need more info or if I need an assessment, it’s been over 9 weeks now & still not had any contact or assessment date , how long after that text do you have to wait for assessment date , surly they should of contacted me with a date by now , my pip ran out august & has been extended for a year, is that why I haven’t had any contact assessment date yet as they have extended it for 12 months , can I ask how long people are waiting on average from capita text to assessment date ,

You may have sent in enough Information and evidence for them to progress a Paper based Assessment and you will not be contacted. Your assessment report will then be passed to the DWP for a decision. If they need further information, they will/would have contacted you. It will not have anything to do with your extension. You can call PIP and ask what is going on with your case if you wish.

thank you for your reply , I love to not have to go through the assessment again , do you think I would of had an appointment by now if I was going to get 1 , so hope it is paper based , just wondered what the longest it’s been from the text to getting an assessment appointment. Thanks again Trevor_PIP

It is hard to say to be honest, your best bet is to call and ask what the position is on your case.

I sent my review in April, claim runs out next month, just had it extended, current wait time varies depending on area, but I've been told at least a year from initial submitting. Average seems to be 12-18 months.
