Lcwra back dated pay
Hi everyone,
I recently posted about my claim for Lcwra, which I did receive. Following this I received a message on my journal with a letter attached so assumed would be about that. It was saying that due to minimum floor from Oct22 to Jan23 they owe me money. I mean how strange and does anyone know why? I dont want to receive money that isn't actually mine and from 3 years ago?
Also it said that statements had been amended.... when I looked it was amount Lcwra would be on each month from 3 months after i reported changes. Does anyone know after statements updated when I would receive money. I haven't had any communication other than this and the message saying I had got Lcwra.
I have put messages on journal but no one answers them!
Thanks all in advance

I don't know why UC have changed your statements to include LCWRA after three months, which is the waiting period for brand new claims (not LCW to LCWRA as in your previous threads).
If found to have LCWRA from a previous LCW award, you are eligible for backpay if both the below apply:
The claimant triggered the review by reporting a change in health
The claimant submitted continous Fit Notes up until the decision.
Without those things, LCWRA element would first apply in the Assessment Period in which the decision was made.
I would recommend running the whole situation past a trained benefits advisor

Hi Kimi
Thanks for your reply. I've spoken to so many people about it and have numerous responses and they seem to all be different. I queried the fit notes and was told that this used to be policy but now if you move from lcw to lcwra they no longer need fit notes, also told as you said no waiting time for the move but also that there is a 3 month waiting period.
They have definitely added money to my statements so does this mean payment will be paid? I don't want to receive money I'm not entitled to. Why is this all such a mine field and noone in uc gives you a definitive answer.
Also what do you make of the other under payment.... why would they do that 3 years after the event?
Many thanks

I'm not a trained benefits advisor and don't feel I have any more advice to offer.
Hopefully it all gets sorted out soon ☺️

Thanks anyways... I'm going to get to bottom of all this so at least can pass on advice at a later date!
