in Start here and say hello!

hi, I’ve been accepted for lcwra,I have been providing fit notes since 30/06/25. I got told I had been accepted on the 27/10/25. When will my first payment be?

    LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your award. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

    More information is needed in order to answer your question.

    What date did you report the health condition?

    Which dates is your UC assessment period?

    Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes?

    Please note that it's the date they are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them.

    Do you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves?

    Do you have any Transitional Protection on your claim?

    I handed my first fit line in on 30/06/25. This is for an ongoing health condition as I have just been released from prison.there is no gaps in my fit notes, I don’t have a partner or any transitional protection.

    I suspect this is a more complex situation which I'm not comfortable advising on, my recommendation would be to contact a trained benefits advisor.
