Bit of help please. My son has been awarded lcwra today he first started his claim

31st August

First fit note reported 31st August

Second fit note 17th October

Assessment periods 31st August-30th September

Payment date 6th

    Were his Fit Notes given to UC with no gaps up until the date of the decision?

    It's the date they are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them.

    LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to the payment. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

    My estimate of his waiting period:

    August/September AP 1

    September/October AP 2

    October/November AP 3

    November/December Eligible for LCWRA element

    January 6th First LCWRA element paid.
