edited November 22 in Universal Credit (UC)

I’ve just been awarded LCWRA 17 th November . Does anybody know how to work out when the extra payment starts?

I reported my first fit note on the 8th of July . I started getting universal credit 14th August .
There have been no gaps in my fit notes up to 24th November and I’ve been told I don’t need to send any more . Any help would be much appreciated.

What date did you report the health condition?

Gaps in Fit Notes mean gaps in giving them to UC, not the start date written on them.

    Are there still no gaps?

Do you mean your first UC payment was made on 14th August? So your Assessment Period is 9th to 8th?

Do you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA themselves, or have any Transitional Protection on your claim?

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your payment.

My estimate of your waiting period:

    July/August AP 1

    August/September AP 2

    September/October AP 3

    October/November Eligible for LCWRA element

November 14th First LCWRA element paid.

I estimate you are currently owed one month LCWRA element. If it is missing from your next statement, you'll be owed two months.

Even though you've received the decision, UC do need time to process everything.

Backpay is done separately and this usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed due to underpayment. The money will then be paid within a few working days. A new version of your statement(s) will be added.
