Random text from GP
Sorry to post again but does anyone ever get unexpected texts from their GP??
I just got one saying:
"Dear Miss XXXX
A routine appointment has been booked for you to discuss the findings in a recent letter we have received from the hospital. An appointment has been booked for Tuesday 25th December.
Thanks
GP surgery name"
I've not had a hospital appointment in AGES?? And 25th December??

Since the 25 December is Christmas and is a Thursday not a Tuesday, I would query this as seems like an error.
But I do get texts from my GP on things.

I would question whether this is a scam that appears to be coming from your GP's number.
Although if it has your name then it should be genuine. Although clearly an error with the date. And possibly even got the wrong person if you aren't expecting any results! Looks like you'll have to contact them to check unfortunately.

Thanks both, I put in a request via the app asking for confirmation and they meant 25th November, which is even more worrying!! No other details and I can't see any info on my NHS app that would show what it's about!!! I've messaged asking them to cancel it as it's too short notice for me
