Hi all, my friend is in full time self employment but has recently had major surgery and been temporarily signed off by his GP.
Heβs now in receipt of UC (thankfully) but I wondered if there would be any other financial help he could accessβs to see him through? (He lives alone)

Hi @CarrieB75, hope your friend is recovering okay! Was he in a union for his self employment? Sometimes they'll have hardship funds available for people who are struggling after illness or injury so that might be worth exploring.
